Today's 10-minute walk is helping both of us remain fitness consistent.

Hi, I'm Dave. Let's go for a walk.

I am walking. It is well past sunrise.

It is a beautiful morning here in Myrtle Beach.

Temperatures are cool, they're cold.

It is a little breezy, but the sun is shining and there's just something about the South Carolina sun that makes me feel warm even when it's cold, if that makes sense.

I'm enjoying this walk, even though it's a cold winter's morning. This is my second walk today.

I probably about a year ago made a commitment to, I have a treadmill in my office, a standing desk and a walking pad, which is essentially a treadmill, a small treadmill.

That is my first walk every day. Within probably one or two minutes of getting out of bed, I get on that treadmill and walk for 10 minutes.

I crank the treadmill up to its fastest speed, four miles an hour.

It just gets everything, gets me moving, gets the blood flowing, helps me to think better.

So that's my first walk of the day.

And then there's this walk.

And this walk is, even though you only hear 10 minutes of it, this walk usually is longer.

Sometimes this walk can be as much as an hour.

Oftentimes it's probably more like 30 minutes, maybe 45 minutes.

And then there's a walk usually at some point in the afternoon.

I'm near the airport and that's a spirit jet that is taking off.

And then there's a walk in the afternoon. Sometimes it's a walk that I take by myself.
