China's ownership and control over Tiktok has been a point of controversy back at least to the Trump administration.

But now it seems like Washington might have gotten the political will to do at least something about it.

The Senate on Wednesday passed a bill to ban Tiktok from government devices that may get a vote here shortly in the House.

It was by unanimous consent in the Senate.

It's a bill from Missouri Republican Senator Josh Polly.

There are states that are making similar moves in recent days.

Here is New Hampshire governor Chris to new knew.

New Hampshire is joining the growing list of states that have banned Tiktok and other Chinese companies from state government devices and networks.

This move will help preserve the safety security and privacy of the citizens of New Hampshire.

And then there is also a bill by Florida Senator Marco Rubio to ban Tiktok from operating entirely inside the United States.

And here is Senator Rubio to make his case.

I want to ban Tiktok for a very simple reason.

They allow the Chinese Communist Party to gain access to all of the private data on any device in America that's using Tiktok.
