The number of people planning to go on a vacation has dropped to its lowest level since 2021,

according to the Conference Board's recent consumer confidence index.

And many travelers say that rising prices are to blame.

There's threats of tariffs, inflation has been stubborn and persistent, and so people are just

feeling it in their budget where they still do want to travel. And we're not seeing a mass cancellation of trips, for example, but people are having to work

harder to make it affordable.

We'll talk to Wall Street Journal reporter Alison Polly about how some travelers are doing
