I'm without my wife, Krista, this week for no other reason than we just plum ran out of energy.

We sat down last night, already a day late.

We've had a crazy June, a lot going on for our family.

And so we sat down last night, June 1st, to finally plan and record our podcast episode.

And we just ran out of energy.

Not even the dark chocolate sea salt covered carmels from Costco. If you haven't had those, it will change your life. Those are

usually our go-to pick me up. Not even having a couple of those saved our energy. So it's just me. So I apologize that you don't get

her. But I am really excited about this question this month for a couple of different reasons.

So first of all, the question is, why should I trust imperfect church leaders? And that question comes from a couple of different

places. First, just in looking at our study this month and come follow me, we get the opportunity

to study the book of Acts. However, we have a blind spot in most of our scripture, well, in every

book of scripture that we study, in that we start

a new book, we get really enthusiastic and excited, and so we know really well the beginning of that

book of scripture, and then we kind of lose energy and steam as we go throughout the rest of that

book of scripture. Case and point,

we all could probably recite almost from memory and almost in exact order the story of Nephi, Lehmel, their family, leaving Jerusalem and everything that happens in first and second

Nephi. We would probably do okay at the story that comes after that. We jump right into
