I need to be able to say no. I need to be able to have control. I need to be able to have self-control because it's so easy to just kind of like let yourself go when you have money. That's why you see a lot of rich people who are unhealthy because they eat the finest foods. They do, you know, they get comfortable, they go on vacation, they do these things and they get out of shape. And it's like, no, dude, that ain't me. I'm trying to have self-control. And the same thing is true. It's like when you have more opportunity to spend money, it really test how much control you have, right? If you could buy that car, how much discipline do you have not to buy the car? You know, you could do this thing. How much discipline

0:38.5

you got to not do the thing. You know, so for me, I am an advocate of having balance and enjoying life

0:45.2

and, you know, not just being one of these ultra frugal people who just, you know, never enjoys their

money. But when you're broke, you have to be ultra frugal.

0:55.9

And then even when you make money, you still got to have some discipline to not blow it all.

1:00.4

So, um, got to change.

1:03.3

Got to change your mindset when it comes to money and spending.

1:05.8

You don't deserve to spend money when you're broke.

1:08.9

You do not deserve to eat out.

1:11.2

You don't deserve to go hang out with your friends and spend all this money. Go hang out with them and you know what? You want to go hang out with them? Even though that's going to kind of waste time to get you out of your situation, but you know, you want to go hang out with them for, you know, a night? Whatever. Hang out for a night, but do it on something that costs you no money.

1:29.8

But, you know, you shouldn't be hanging out with your friends every night. If you're hanging out

1:32.5

with your friends every night and you're broke, there's a massive problem because you're

1:36.8

probably spending money. But more importantly, you're wasting all this time that you could have

1:41.7

been self-developing that's going to get you out of this situation.

1:45.7

And so I've even seen that, by the way, with a lot of my rich friends, right? So like I said,

1:51.1

the last couple of years, the economy hasn't been great. And so, you know, people are feeling

1:56.9

the pinch in all areas, broke people, everything i see it everywhere and so um you know

2:03.7

i see people who are spending a lot of time let's say traveling and speaking on a bunch of stages and

2:11.6

uh you know doing all these just different things and then all of a sudden you just kind of look at it

2:16.6

and you're like man was that even really worth it for my business you know myself included right like i get asked to speak on

2:22.1

stages and other things all the time and i've just realized that no i should not it's not a good use of

2:28.4

my time i'm far better off staying right here working on on my business, being with my family, being with
