You hear those horns.

You know we're about to drop all kinds of intel on your ear holes,

coming out of a joint practice between the Patriots and the

commanders, highly entertaining day of football.

And boy, was there a lot of football going on?

Rubbernecking between one field and the next, watching Jane Daniels go against the Patriots

defense, watching Drake May go against the commander's defense.

And all in all, if you had to come away with the takeaway, the takeaway would be this.

The Patriots belonged. And that is meaningful. This is a team in Washington that just made the

conference championship game. And I understand that is due in large part to a receiver for them

who was not on the field on Wednesday in Terry

McClorin. I understand. One of the reasons they were able to make that NFC championship game is they

have a quarterback who is so dynamic, so electric with his legs, and a practice setting like the one

we just saw on the fields behind Gillette Stadium is not necessarily one where even somebody as athletic

as Jaden Daniels is necessarily going to be pushing the envelope when it comes to scrambling out of the

pocket. I get it. They're not really built to be a practice team, especially without McLaurin

right now the commanders are. But the Patriots belong. Drake May went throw for throw with the guy who was rookie of the year last year

had one of the best rookie seasons we have seen at that position.
