We just witnessed day eight of Patriots training camp, a very slow day, just a walk through, nice little cloud cover, a bit of a breather for everybody involved after three long, hot days of training camp practice.

Today on the podcast, we want to get to Drake May and the progress that he's showing, taking care of the football, but also still being true to himself and the gunslinger that I think he is. We are also going to track

where Kyle Williams is, the third round rookie out of Washington State at the moment and where he

fits in in this receiving room. We're also going to have a great conversation with the great

Morgan Moses going into his 12th year. What does he think in terms of what's necessary for him at this stage as a veteran

and what he has to do to get ready for the upcoming season?

But more importantly to me, what does he think of Will Campbell?

What does he think of Jared Wilson?

Two potential foundational building blocks for this offensive line for years to come at both left

tackle and left guard. Great conversation with him. And then we're going to give you a little

snippet, just a little tease of our 53 man roster projection that's on NBC SportsBoston.com right now.

But first, let's get right to some Drake May developments. To me, maybe the most positive sign for Drake May during his second training camp as a pro

is the fact that he has been able to limit the turnovers and even the turnover worthy types of plays.

He still has yet to throw an interception through eight practices.

Six of those have been competitive, a couple of walkthroughs mixed in there.

And the fact that he's able to dial those back, somebody who threw 10 interceptions

in essentially 10 games last year, somebody who was near the bottom of the league in terms

of turnover worthy play percentage, in terms of interception rate, the fact that he has been

able to take care of the football the way that he has and yet still be the Drake May that many of you I know fell in love with last year in terms of pushing the ball down the field, making off platform throws.

Showing the traits that made him the number three overall pick a couple off seasons ago, to me, is the most positive development in this camp for the New England Patriots.
