And we are going to discuss that and some of Lily's other writings and observations on the

American healthcare system today. Now, what our listeners may not know about you

if they've only heard your voice in our previous podcast

about Hillary Clinton's masterclass or the minions

before joining the staff of current affairs,

you, Lily Sanchez, were a pediatrician,

and you left medicine for the vastly more lucrative field of left publishing.

It's a joke.

Left publishing is, as we know, not lucrative at all, except spiritually.

And I wanted to start there, actually, with you leaving medicine to come and join us.

We know what some of the poll factors may be about why it's enjoyable to write and edit.

But I want to talk today about the push factors that might have caused someone who presumably

entered medicine with an idealistic desire to help children who are sick, to not be sick anymore, why someone who had put so much

time and effort into attaining, you know, qualifications and skills would leave that behind. And I take

it, it has a little something to do with the structure of medicine in the contemporary United States.
