For today's episode, Elise sat down with experimental psychologist Steven Pinker.

Pinker is a professor in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University and a bestselling

author.

His latest book is called Enlightenment Now, the Case for Reason, Science, Humanism, and

Progress.

If you think the world is coming to an end, Pinker says, think again.

Of all of the graph showing improvement in the book, the one that stunts people the most

and myself included was one that plots IQ scores over time and shows that we are getting smarter.

In three IQ points a decade for a century.

So we score 30 points higher than our great grandparents a century ago.

Now how could that be true?

I mean, we haven't changed biologically.
