0:09.3	Hey, it's Callie Black here with today's thought. Let's open up to Exodus chapter 20, verse 17.
0:15.2	The Lord teaches in Exodus chapter 20, verse 17, thou shalt not covet.
0:22.5	In other words, don't be jealous.
0:27.2	Why?
0:28.0	Why would this make the Lord's top ten list for basic commandments he wanted the children of Israel to follow
0:34.4	and that he still asked for us to follow today?
0:37.2	I've realized that jealousy is one of the most significant signs of where my heart is.
0:45.7	If I'm over here spending all my time jealous of someone's beautiful new backyard or that
0:53.4	trip that they just went on or that bonus I know they got
0:56.4	or the trials that they don't have, then I'm not spending time loving them. I'm probably a lot less
1:06.4	likely to want to serve them. I'm probably not praying for them. It also means that my heart
1:15.2	probably isn't showing gratitude. I'm probably not overwhelmed and grateful for how dependent I am on the
1:23.1	Lord. I might not be as willing to pay tithing. My heart starts to worry about the wrong things.
1:31.6	This is a tough one in today's super materialistic world. And it's not a commandment that I've conquered yet,
1:38.9	but I sure have learned that it is worth every effort to root out that pride and jealousy so that I can make a
1:47.3	little more room to love. So the takeaway of the day in five words or less, don't be jealous,
1:55.3	just love. Thank you so much for being here today and for coming closer to Christ with me,
2:00.2	one minute at a time.
