but even seven sacks would be a very successful first year for the number two overall pick.

Now, I think whenever the Jets go through a draft class, the expectations are always sky high.

And that's doubly true when the Jets have a lot of early round picks.

I mean, if you listen to the fan base right now, there's genuine excitement.

And it's easy to understand why.

The Jets did pick four of the top

50 rated prospects in this year's class. But sometimes that excitement goes a little bit overboard.

And it's not just the fans. Sometimes the media kind of stirs that. If you listen to some people

in the media, you'd think that the Jets are going to have four instant all pro players.

In fact, one media analyst, Robert Griffin III, actually compared Kenyon Sadiq to a mix of DekK Metcalf and Michael Jordan.

I don't like doing that.

And the reason I dislike that is not because I lack excitement about the players the Jets drafted.

It's just I want to put fair expectations on these guys.

Because if you set the stage that these guys are going to be all pros and they step in and have some rookie growing pains, well, then it's like you're saying they're a disappointment.

And that's not the case.
