Mormons actually have a very good knowledge of Scripture and the ability to cite chapter and verse.

But what they don't have is philosophy. If somebody believes that you should worship Adam, that person is an idolater.

It's just not true that it's just alleged to have been taught.

And it's not true that it was just a theory. It is a false doctrine. How many gods would Brigham Young say they were, and then how many gods would Jacob Hanson say there are? Jacob was asked almost this direct question. The question he was asked was whether God the Father had a God that he worshipped? What did he say? There's two things. One, how many gods are there? two? What do we mean by gods? Steel manning it, they're going to say he's a creator in the same way that any artist is a creator. When you create content, when you build a statue, we can call Michelangelo a creator in a certain sense, but he doesn't create the marble. He just turns a marble into something beautiful. The God that we are bound to worship, is it fair to say he was once a man like we are now?
