Summary

In today’s episode, I share the full arc of my relationship with money—from growing up with nothing to making millions, losing it all, and rebuilding from a place of purpose. I talk about the trap of attaching happiness to outcomes, the myth of giving without receiving, and how shifting from scarcity to abundance reshaped not just my bank account but my mindset. You’ll hear why faith matters most when nothing makes sense, how asking for more is part of giving more, and the difference between being generous and being wise. This is about moving from survival to service and still building real wealth.

still grabbed some pencils for her second grade class because they didn't have enough money

And in that world of not enough, the energy of not enough, I simply wanted to make money.

I thought money would buy me love and happiness,

1:12.7

and I thought for sure, if I focused in on making money, I certainly would be happy.

And so I worked really hard and learned to enjoy what I didn't like or didn't love. I learned to

1:23.5

enjoy what other people didn't like or love, which I think are key aspects of how we make money

1:29.8

because 98% of the people won't learn to love what they don't like or love or other people

1:34.9

don't like or love, and they wonder why they're not where they want to be or better.

I learned to do that and all for one purpose to buy my mama house.
