0:13.0	On today's episode we're going to be doing something a little different than normal.
0:19.0	We want to talk about a way that we at the crossing are trying to live out God's love practically.
0:24.4	We're looking through 1st Corinthians 13. It's a passage where Paul gives his kind of definition of
0:30.3	what love is and he shows that love isn't just a feeling. Love is active.
0:35.1	Love does stuff. In 1st Corinthians 13. 4, Paul says that love is not self-seeking.
0:42.0	One of the most famous Bible verses is John 316.
0:44.9	It says, for God so love the world that he gave.
0:48.1	God is a giving God.
0:49.5	And I think 1st Corinthians 13 tells us to spell love G-I-V-E that love gives, love serves.
0:57.0	And it's one of the founding principles and the founding of the
1:05.0	founding of the crossing is that we wanted to be a church that really gave in our community. One of the things that we said from the very beginning is that we wanted to be the kind of church
1:09.0	that whether you ever went to the crossing or not,
1:11.0	whether you consider yourself a Christian or not, you were glad
1:14.0	the crossing was in Columbia because it was making a real difference in real people's lives
1:19.3	all throughout mid-Missouri.
1:21.3	Once a year we have a special Sunday called Vision Sunday where we talk about
1:25.2	what we want to do as a church in Colombia, how we want to give, how we want to make
1:30.1	Columbia a better place. And so leading up to this year's Vision Sunday,
1:34.0	we had a big question.
