0:12.0	And I'm Patrick Miller. right now we are working through 1st
0:15.2	Corinthians 13 which is Paul's definition of love. There's a great book called
0:20.3	the secret life of an unlikelyly Convert by a Woman
0:23.4	named Rosarea Butterfield.
0:25.5	And she tells the story about how she came to faith in Christ.
0:29.2	And what makes so great is that it's a really interesting story about how someone far
0:34.0	away from God moved closer and closer to Christ until now she is a wholehearted
0:40.2	Christ follower. It starts when she is a professor at Syracuse University. Upstate
0:46.5	New York, she's a very liberal progressive professor. She's in gender studies,
0:51.5	women studies. She's in a lesbian relationship, considers herself a lesbian,
0:57.0	and she writes an article for the local newspaper in which in the article she critiques
1:01.8	evangelical Christianity.
1:04.0	And of course like you might expect this gets a lot of different responses.
1:08.7	And kind of they fall into two camps,
1:11.0	either those people who love what she said or those people who are
1:13.4	attacking her for what she said. And so she's sitting one day going through all of
1:18.8	these letters in her office, all the responses, and she puts two boxes on her desk one boxes for those who
1:25.2	who really like what she said and what she would call her fan mail the other
1:29.3	box is the hate mail the people who were attacking or upset with her those kind of things.
1:35.1	So but she comes across this one letter.
