Summary

Back in June, I released the first part of today's topic, making a case that leaders must dramatically change the way we approach our devotional life with Jesus.

In today's podcast, I recommend a new way forward. I'll share with you four keys that will breathe life back into your devotions.

Why Leaders Need More Than a Quiet Time Part Two. Actually, I did a part one on this June 2nd,

0:17.8

about eight weeks ago. But then when the murder of George Floyd happened here in the United

0:23.2

States, I sensed the urgency to address the issues of racism, Black Lives Matter, from a

0:30.9

biblical perspective. And so I did a number of podcasts in these recent weeks on everything from

0:35.2

1:31.2

us with a gift and that's a gift of hidden fruitfulness it comes out of the depth of our beings so again

1:40.0

my history and i came to christ through a parochurch movement in the early days I learned all

1:45.4

about quiet time and I was very disciplined. I actually never found quiet time to be a yoke.

1:50.4

I actually loved it. But it was a heavy emphasis on learning, reading the Bible, studying the Bible,

1:56.3

heavy on intercession and fasting. Again, the theology of God is not going to move unless we pray,

2:03.6

and to lots of intercessory prayer meetings,
