And let's get started. On Sunday mornings, we're going through 1 Corinthians chapter by chapter, verse by verse.

And today our text will be chapter 15 and verses 20 through 28.

Once you find you way there in your Bibles, I'll ask you to stand if you're able.

You can follow along as I read. If not, that's

all right. The Apostle Paul by the Holy Spirit is writing to the Corinthian Church and says

verse 20, but Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep,

speaking of their death. For verse 21, since death came through a man, speaking of Adam,

the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man, speaking of Jesus.

For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

But each in turn, Christ, the first fruits, then when he comes, those who belong to him, speaking of us.

Then verse 24, the end will come when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father, this is in the

millennium, after he has destroyed all dominion, authority,

and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy

to be destroyed is death. For verse 27, he has put everything under his feet.

Now, when it says that everything has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ.

When he has done this, verse 28, then the son himself

will be made subject to him who put everything under him so that God may be all in all.

Loving Heavenly Father, thank you for this portion that we have open before us here in your word this morning.

Lord, thank you that it deals with arguably the most important

aspect of our Christian faith that of the resurrection. Lord I pray that you

would minister to us and speak into our lives in and through your
