Hey, Patsy, listen to your news there this morning and all the uppouring of love for one of the greatest leaders of this country, Bob Hawke.

What are your memories of them then?

Oh, gosh.

The biggest one is that comment about the bum, anyone that goes to work today or doesn't go to work and the boss is complaining he's a bum.

That was the America's Cup.

I remember getting ready for school watching the Today Show when that was shown and we were

like, oh my God, our PMs just said that.

Yeah, I mean, it must have been such a moment for this country because the win itself was huge.

I think America had like a 132 year stranglehold on it.

So it was a huge moment for the country.

It made news all around the world because these days Trump, that's the sort of thing Trump might try and say, but it wouldn't come from such a natural place as someone like Bob Hawke.

He was so calm.

But back in the day, politicians and leaders weren't really, they didn't really have human moments.

They seem to be these older statesmen like people.

And I remember that clip seeing it in the UK.

And it was the first time I've ever seen any kind of world leader talk about beer.

It also was the first inkling I ever had that this country really likes beer as well.

I was slightly intimidated by the awe of it.

But yeah, and also there was so much, it's so hard for leaders

these days to create any kind of legacy, even Obama, anyone, the system is so stacked against
