| 1:30.5 | So, I mean, I would see a number of passages in particular in the pastoral epistles as limiting that office to called qualified men within the church. |

I know that this isn't an issue that would, you know, it's not one of those, uh, issues that would cause me to say, well, if this person differs with me on this and they must not be a Christian, they're rejecting, you know, quote unquote, core Christianity. Um, but I do think that the Bible does speak to this in, in Paul in 1st Timothy 3 and in Titus chapter 1 talks about calling called, qualified, competent men to this particular office. |
