Good morning friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. I'm so glad you're here.

I wonder if you have had the same experience that I have. Growing up in a Christian home, I often had questions

0:16.3

about the difference between Jesus and all these other religious leaders that I heard about.

0:22.1

You know, there's Mohammed, there's Buddha, there's Joseph Smith,

0:26.8

there's all these religious types out there who I really at the time felt were just these vague personalities in my

0:36.2

minds. I didn't know who they were what they taught all those kinds of things

0:39.3

and I think more so because I grew up in the kind of church that talked about Jesus all the time.

0:46.4

I wondered why is Jesus so special?

0:50.9

will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but

1:32.2

whatever he hears he will speak and he will declare to you the things

1:36.2

that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the father has is mine.

1:48.7

Therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you. Now it's very subtle and kind of tucked

1:55.4

away in the recesses of what Jesus says here, but the powerful truth that we're

2:00.1

focusing on in this verse is that Jesus himself as a person is central to

2:07.2

everything God is and everything God is doing. He wraps it all up in a bow so to speak and he encapsulates God's

2:17.6

entire plan for history. Look at verse 14, he, the Holy Spirit, will glorify me. So the Holy Spirit's job in large part is to point people to Jesus. He wants people to see Jesus because Jesus is the culmination of
