Good morning my friends. Welcome back to the morning mindset. My name is

Carrie Green. I'm so thankful that you're here with me as we gather together to

align our minds with the truth of God for this day.

In yesterday's episode, we were looking at John chapter 16

and Jesus himself was pointing out how central he himself is to the plans of God.

Now if anyone else said that kind of thing, it would seem seem very cocky and very arrogant, but Jesus lived the kind

of life that demonstrated that the things he had to say were things that should be paid attention to because he did things and he interacted

with people in ways that were so different from what typically goes on when some religious leader or even political leader puffs

themselves up and makes themselves look to be all that.

You see Jesus had the action to back up his words.

And so when he says things like he did in John chapter 16,

that the Holy Spirit points everyone to him and gives him glory,

what he's saying has some merit to it because of the demonstration of who he was. Now because we introduced that

subject from John chapter 16 in just kind of a peripheral way I wanted to dig a little deeper today and so we are moving over to

the book of Colossians just for a few episodes here to build a little bit more on

this subject of Jesus being the central theme of everything that God is doing.

We're going to look at Colossians chapter 1 verse number 15, where it goes into detail about who Jesus 1.

1.5. Where it goes into detail about who Jesus is and the power and

centrality of his very existence. Let's begin in

Colosians chapter 1 verse number 15. He, Jesus, is the image of the

invisible God, the first born of all creation.
