What's up, guys, Rick here with another episode of Strategy Saturday.

This is a series in which I try to tackle larger topics in the world of golf, fantasy

golf, golf, golf betting, just so that they can live a little

bit longer. We can just do some general strategy as opposed to just the tournament preview,

the DFS preview, one and done stuff. These should be able to last a lot longer. And if you

really all I

ask out of you. And today we tackle one of the things that you hear me talk about all the time,

and you'll hear others talk about all the time. And it is about putting being volatile. And usually

when we talk about that, we say, hey, I want guys who can hit the ball

well off the tee, who can hit their irons well, because putting is kind of a lot of chance,

and it's a lot of luck. And of course, there is plenty of skill over a long period of time. But in

the short term, one hole at a time, one round, or one tournament, putting is pretty crazy volatile.

And you'll hear me say that a lot.

And I felt like it was worth diving into how volatile is it?

And if I'm just crazy and if I'm just lying to you, which I'm not.

So I was trying to think of a bunch of different ways to be able to showcase this and

figure out a way to determine the volatility of one stat over another stat.

And, you know, we could just look at standard deviations, which is not necessarily great,

but standard deviations is a measure of dispersion, right?

So the larger, the standard deviation, the more volatile that value is going to be,

and that goes for anything, and especially here in the world of golf.
