When she was just 17 years old, Hannah Corbyn moved from the Pacific Northwest to Big Apple to pursue her dream of becoming a professional dancer.

She danced. She performed as an aerialist,

acrobatics while suspended in the air, no big deal,

my hands aren't sweating, just thinking about it,

and teaching movement classes.

But it was an audition to coach at a little Kickstarter

called Peloton that would take Hannah's career to the next level,

beaming her constant encouragement to treat your body

like it belongs to someone you love to millions of users across the globe.

Hannah is out with her first book, Have You Stretched, though, and she's here to share her insights on flexibility, and inflexibility.

She is a Virgo, after all, her multi-year fight to get a diagnosis for what would turn out to be an autoimmune disease,

and what it's like to return to professional performing

now that she's older and wiser.

We have an asymmetric friendship because I've spent a lot of time with you, but you have not spent a lot of time with me.

You are adopted by parents who are not Hispanic themselves. We you always talk about how they raised you with the culture. What did that look like? They did. They were so good at communication and making it simple. There was never a time where it felt like I couldn't talk about it or that, you know, talking about being Mexican and Puerto Rican was taboo or saying I was adopted was strange.

It was very matter of fact, like saying my hair's brown or I like cheese.

And have you met your birth parents?
