I'm your host, Kosti Hinn, and I've been talking about parenting in the current series

and the importance of raising our kids faithfully. And so far, we've covered

the biblical basics of parenting, fatherhood, motherhood, and now one of the greatest dangers

in my view to biblical parenting in our generation, a concept called gentle parenting. And I want to

lay out five reasons why it's a total failure and will ultimately hurt your children,

even if it claims to be the secret to parenting success.

Now, let me preface this by saying, I understand a lot of gentle parenting enthusiasts are coming from a place of cultural influence where the culture and wanting to love children and and nurture them and

protect them is is the overswing from abuse and maybe the generation that was raised with very

hardline parents who were overly legalistic or punished them or whipped them and beat them.

And so I know that a lot of people, they swing over

there. And then others, I believe, are our pawns on the enemy's chessboard as he uses the

redefinition of things. And you see this with things like gender dysphoria and wokeness

and kind of different concepts that we've seen over the years, there's nothing to

under the sum. The enemy just uses different kind of tools like redefining words and redefining

concepts and redefining terminology. And so like parenting and abuse and all of these things

get lumped in and all of a sudden you have gentle parenting and man, it's sold with some serious

smooth talk. But gentle parenting fails and man, it's sold with some serious smooth talk. But gentle parenting

fails because it often prioritizes the child's immediate, key word, immediate emotions over a

child's eternal formation. And immediate emotion is something that we get pulled into as parents.

And we just want to minister to, and we just want to minister

to that, or we just want to peace, and we don't want to deal with it. And so, all right, there we go.
