I do think we have a whole generation of parents who have been poorly taught or are undertaught

or personal experiences have caused them to at least shy away

from this type of healthy and sharpening discussion. I know and would understand that there

are personal experiences people go through. Very unfortunate cases of parental abuse. But my friends, I want to

challenge you, don't let bad experiences alter your desire and your action in doing all you can,

according to the word of God, when it comes to discipline. And that would include challenging

gentle parenting. And so we can still be loving

and gentle and gracious in our discipline of children and disciple our children appropriately
