| 0:00.0 | We are now live on the conversationsations that Matter Podcast on your host John Harris. |
| 0:15.5 | This is an afternoon podcast. |
| 0:17.5 | It's probably lunch time for some of you on maybe the West Coast and certainly in the |
| 0:22.3 | mountain states. but we have a good discussion today that I think you're all going to enjoy. |
| 0:27.3 | It's actually part of what I'm really figuring out now is going to be a series on this issue of climate change and |
| 0:34.0 | environmentalism and global warming. And let me just briefly explain to everyone |
| 0:38.4 | since this is the first installment why I'm doing this. Of course you know that I've |
| 0:42.2 | talked a lot about social justice. I've written some books on it |
| 0:45.3 | especially how it's infiltrated evangelical institutions and I knew that there were some |
| 0:51.1 | climate change related compromises going on, but not something that I focused on too much. |
| 0:58.2 | One of the reasons was during 2020 when everything was taking place, that wasn't at least the thing that was taking up |
| 1:05.9 | screen time on our televisions and it wasn't the thing |

| 1:20.1 | seminary that I went to, Southeastern, had done a conference or colloquium on this issue of the environment. |
| 1:28.6 | And I started watching some of the presentations and it was I was shocked actually I mean I expect |
| 1:35.1 | leftist stuff some leftist stuff at least coming out of South Eastern because I went |
| 1:39.0 | there and I could see that there were certain quarters of the seminary that had this, but I was just shocked at how far left the needle was being pushed by people like Jonathan Mu and Catherine Hayho. |
| 1:50.0 | And so anyway, I contacted a number of people who are willing to kind of walk through this with me for your sake so that those in the audience know what's going on so they can be informed but also how to refute it, to talk about it how to think about it and so the first person that |
| 2:06.4 | was recommended to me and that I've enjoyed talking with and looking through his material |
| 2:12.0 | is Brian Sussman is Brian Sussman. |
