Hello and welcome to Sochiology 101. Today we're going to be responding to an article posted at the Christian Post by Robin Schumacher. I'm hoping I'm pronouncing that name correctly. It's

obviously a Calvinistic article, as many of the articles are these days, it seems, that are produced

and being promoted in some of the most read online resources that are available to us, which is one of the reasons I think we see

Calvinism resurging so much, especially within the younger generations, because mostly the younger

generations are going to go to the internet in order to find information on how to answer

certain theological or biblical questions. And so that's one of the reasons we're producing

this broadcast is to help people to see

there are alternative understandings of Scripture, obviously, and to contend with our

Calvinistic friends in a cordial and loving way, but at the same time, very firmly, standing

up against what we believe they have done in misinterpreting certain passages of Scripture

to become more of a deterministic,

fatalistic type of rendering of the text that is not supported, I think, by the overall

proper hermeneutics of scripture. Let me put it that way. Before we jump into this,
