Well, as we begin a little backstory on me, I remember it was about 15 years ago my wife and I were at a

camp in Texas. I was speaking to some high school students and we left the camp

that afternoon to just go and hang out in the city and we sat at a coffee shop.

And while we were there, this young man stole my wife's iPhone,

literally ripped her earbuds out and went running out the door.

Which was interesting, because you always kind of wonder

what would my instinctual response be?

My wife's was to yell, and she yelled get him babe which at that point what are you going to do be like no

thank you I'm good sipping my latte so so I ran out the door in my flip-flops after this young man and we turned

this corner and I saw a security car pull up. So I yelled at security, hey he's got my phone,

and then in a moment later realized, oh that's his

buddy driving the security car.

Not sure how they procured that, but that was the getaway vehicle.

And so all in a moment, he jumped in the car, I grabbed the door and his buddy hit the gas.

And the three of us went driving down the road together.

The two of them in the vehicle, me hanging from the side.

Which again was interesting because they were the same age as the kids I had just been preaching to.
