Welcome, my friends, it is time for you and for me to get our minds align with the truth of God.

I'm so thankful you're with me today. My name is Carrie Green, if you're new to the morning mindset.

I'm a retired pastor who really has no interest in retiring full on.

I am still running some businesses, but more importantly, I am still teaching the word of

God in these morning mindsets

and I'm doing so to encourage you in your faith.

That really is my primary goal.

I want you to be better equipped and better encouraged for the calling that Jesus has on your life.

And speaking of that calling, that's what we're talking about in our current series, going

through three chapters in the Gospel of John,

John, chapter 14, 15, and 16.

Right now we're at the tail end of chapter 15.

And Jesus has been speaking to his disciples about the calling he has placed on their lives.

And when I say his disciples, yes it includes us because we get to read this instruction in these enlightening statements after the fact.

But these were primarily spoken to the 11 men he had chosen.

Now I say 11 because at this point in the story Judas Iscariot has already

gone to betray Jesus and he has left the meeting so to speak and is off conspiring to turn Jesus over to the authorities.

And Jesus has been telling his disciples that they are going to experience

opposition. They are going to experience people who don't

like the message of salvation through the gospel that they are passing along and

that opposition can have all kinds of effects in a human being.

It can cause us to be afraid. It can cause us to get angry. It can cause us to become kind of stubborn and callous and
