to get your mind aligned with the truth of God for this day. Hey did you know you can take part in these morning mindset episodes by recording

necessarily mean to private situations in your life and in your family it means

in your

country, country, what is happening, what is God doing

and how can we be praying for that work that he's doing there.

All right, let's go on with John chapter 15.

Jesus is preparing his disciples for all of the events they are about to experience, which includes

his betrayal and his crucifixion and his burial and his resurrection. And he is telling them about the opposition they are going to experience as his primary

spokesman once he's gone.

And he says in verse 23, whoever hates me hates my father also.

If I had not done among them the works that no one else did,

they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me

and my father. But the word that is written in their law must be fulfilled. They hated me without cause.

This is an example of Jesus quoting the Old Testament

to show how what's happening in his own life is a fulfillment of that prophecy.
