Question for you, why do parents think their kids need all of these skill clinics over lifting weights?

Well, there's a million videos of me and coaches talking about strength training.

It could be a little bit tricky to pick up, but I'll say this. Even with all the information

out there on how important it is to be strong and durable and how strength and conditioning

is this big advantage for athletes?

Well, parents are still afraid.

They still think that if their seventh or eighth grader starts strength training,

that it automatically means back squat deadlift,

and it automatically means stunting their growth,

all of which are not true.

And the other thing is training, strength training requires a commitment.

A sport clinic might be two hours on a Saturday.
