Good morning everyone and welcome back to another mornings with the masters.

We devote ourselves to the Lord daily with you.

We are picking up with day three of our why does the Christian life seem so hard

devotion on the Bible app.

There's a link to that in the description if you guys want to follow along.

And as always, I'm going to read the scripture

then I'm also going to pick up with the Devo.

The scripture is Romans chapter 7 versus 22 through 25,

and they say this, I love God's law with all my heart but there

is another power within me that is at war with my mind this power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a

miserable person I am who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death.

Thank God. The answer is in death. Thank God. The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord.

So you see how it is.

In my mind, I really want to obey God's law,

but because of my sinful nature, I am a slave to sin.

The devotionals titled, It's not me anymore.

And it says this, I remember hearing his story about a married guy. We'll call him Jack, who was a philanderer.

When he became a Christian, he turned away from his adulterous lifestyle.

Shortly after, he was away on a business trip and in a hotel a woman he previously had an affair with came up to him.

He tried to politely walk away. The woman grew more insistent and said,

Jack, what are you doing? Come on, me it's me he replied I know but it's not me anymore

that's a great picture of what is going on in Paul's heart here. He knows that in Christ he has ultimate victory.
