We've been asking a number of questions about death to understand what the

scripture says that death is and we remember the title of John Owens famous treatise on the atonement, the death of death in the death of Christ.

That's why Jesus Christ died.

But that raises a further question.

If Christ dealt death, the death blow, why do those who are in Christ die?

Wouldn't it stand to reason that a Christian should escape death altogether?
