0:13.2	book of exodus. If you're a sports fan you're probably familiar with Ernie
0:17.8	Johnson Jr. He's kind of at the top of his game as a sportscaster. He calls baseball games for TBS
0:25.0	he's the host of inside the NBA on TNT
0:28.0	and he also calls some of the men's basketball games in the NCAA tournament.
0:33.0	Ernie Johnson is also a faithful Christian.
0:36.0	He and his wife Cheryl have adopted children,
0:39.0	one of whom has special needs, a boy named Michael.
0:42.0	Cheryl met Michael when he was three years old in a Romanian orphanage.
0:46.0	He had clubfoot and was unable to speak.
0:49.0	Cheryl knew he didn't have much of a future.
0:52.0	She called home to share her experience of meeting
0:54.4	Michael with Ernie and she wondered what would happen to this boy for the rest of his life.
1:00.5	Ernie told Cheryl bring him him home, and she did.
1:04.0	Later, Michael was diagnosed with a particular kind of muscular dystrophy that causes all kinds of serious challenges.
1:12.0	For much of his health care
1:17.5	health care got very expensive and it took a health care got very expensive and it took a lot of effort to take care of him
1:21.6	but Ernie and Cheryl they never shrunk back from the challenges. They never resisted the responsibilities that Michael brought them.
1:30.0	Ernie says this, some people can be driven by going on mission trips, digging wells for kids who don't have water.
1:36.6	Everybody's wired differently. This is one of the ways that we're wired. We have this heart for adoption, is rooted in our faith, our Christian faith.
1:46.7	We're instructed to care for orphans and widows.
