0:22.7	never existing. And that's why this week's Supreme Court decision, restoring broad access
0:28.5	to the abortion pill, even in states where abortion has been voted illegal, forces us to
0:34.5	ask an unavoidable question. What is the worth of one human life?
0:41.2	And we have breaking news. The Supreme Court is restoring access to the abortion bill by mail
0:45.2	after two drug companies filed an emergency appeal, appeal rather. Mifapristone has been approved
0:50.4	as safe and effective by the FDA since 2000. It's used in about two-thirds of
0:54.8	U.S. abortions and commonly used to prevent complications from miscarriages. Friday,
0:59.7	a federal appeals court ruled doctors could no longer prescribe Mitha-Pristone by mail or
1:03.7	telemedicine while a legal challenge plays out. Now the Supreme Court is blocking that
1:08.7	lower court's ruling, allowing patients to maintain their access to the medication.
1:12.6	Okay, here's what happened. Mitha pristone is the first drug that is typically used in a medication abortion when a woman takes the pill.
1:21.7	And then it's usually followed by a second drug, which finishes the job.
1:26.4	And in recent years, the federal government loosened its
1:30.2	restrictions. It was kind of during COVID when everything was under emergency powers and people
1:34.7	weren't able to go in person to their doctor. And so these abortion pills were coming to the
1:39.0	mail more freely. Instead of requiring women to visit their doctor in person, the pill is now prescribed through telehealth appointments on your laptop or on your phone, and they're mailed directly to the patients or they're picked up at Walgreens or CVS pharmacies.
1:58.5	Now, Louisiana, along with several other states and pro-life groups, they challenged those
