I would think they would try to get through to this animal, but he looked like a robot,

sitting there like a robot with no feelings, like a sociopath, like a psychopath that

Olivia Gonzalez called him. That's who he is. And will he even feel and understand

solitary confinement for the rest of his life?

Will that even bother him?

Or is he that much of an automaton, a robot that he has no feelings?

That certainly looked at.

That was the way he was in court.

Therefore, I will not attempt to speak about him further, other than to simply sentence

him so that he is forever removed from civilized society.

Accordingly, based upon his conduct and based upon the record before this court,

recognizing the standards that govern this court's sentencing decisions that set forth in state B2 Hill,

I hereby sentence Mr. Kohlberger as follows.

On count one, burglary, 10 years fixed, zero years indeterminate.

I also impose a fine of $50,000.

Count two, first degree murder of Madison Mogan.

I sentenced the defendant to a fixed term

of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole,

a fine of $50,000 and a civil

penalty of $5,000 payable to the family of the victim.
