I am really excited to bring you a way more lighthearted episode. I have been a fan of Shannon's

for a while. You'll hear all about my stalking her and loving her podcast. It's called Fluently

Forward. So we're going to get right into that. But before we do, I'm just going to answer a few more

of your listener questions that came in. Okay, so this one is called Six Years Out of the Game.

This person says, so I'm recently out of a six-year relationship, and I'm only 23. I'm very new

to the dating scene and just want to have fun right now. Explain to me the difference between dating,

seeing someone just having fun dating as in your boyfriend girlfriend. I feel like there's

so much nuance and considering I was only 17 when I met my first serious partner, I never really

got a chance to get the hang of things before getting serious. Any help is appreciated. Okay,

Six Years Out of the Game. So I would say dating is when you're going on dates with somebody.

Seeing somebody is just about the same thing. Just having fun is when you're sleeping with someone,

and dating as in your boyfriend girlfriend is when you are in an official relationship.

And what I want you to know is anyone who asks you to be exclusive is bullshit and 80% of the time

that won't become something more serious. Okay, this one says, my boyfriend and I are 29 and

have been dating for a little over a year. It's pretty serious as in we've talked about getting

engaged married in the future, but are planning on moving in together next year. However, he is

struggling career wise right now. He essentially wants to leave his field after discovering it makes him

fundamentally unhappy and causes him to have panic attacks. He wants to start fresh doing something

else, but just hasn't figured out what something else is yet. Do you think it makes it more difficult

...
