And today what I want to talk to you about is a lesson I learned 10, 12 years ago about genuinely caring.

And it sounds so simple, but it is so powerful.

Now the lesson I learned are from two people that we've already interviewed on the Spartan of

podcast, Yonic Silver and Gary Vainerchuk. So Yonic Silver had interviewed

Gary for an hour, maybe a little bit more than an hour and Gary's telling

about all these strategies

and these new back in the early days of social media these new ways of how he

helped grow his father's business from two or three million dollars to

some 40 or 50 million dollars.

At the end of the interview, Yannick says to Gary.

Gary, what do you think was the one big thing that helped you change your dad's business and I'm driving in my car

the C-Dee is in there and I'm waiting for some big marketing thing to come out and

Gary takes a deep breath and goes,

Yannick, you know, I don't think people,

not enough people just genuinely care.

It comes down to genuinely caring.

And right then in there I became a huge fan of Gary Vanerchuk because I realize it's not about

marketing or special effects or how your website looks.
