Summary

It’s been a year since I had breast reduction surgery and when I decided to have this operation I thought it was going to be life-changing, but it wasn’t.

It turns out that if I wanted to change my life, undo self-sabotaging behaviours and really address my issues with my own body image, it wasn’t something I could outsource - this needed to be an inside job. So, that’s what the last 12 months have been about confronting and addressing demons, being honest with myself and making changes for my long-term mental, emotional and physical health.

I’m made this video/audio because I receive messages daily about my breast reduction surgery, but in recent months I’ve been also been receiving messages about my weight loss, in the main along the lines of ‘how have you done it?’ and it feels impossible to talk about one without mentioning the other.

If you do have questions about breast reduction surgery or anything else discussed in this video please do feel free to comment or please know that my DMs are open.

Trigger warning: I am aware that some of what I have mentioned in this video may be triggering for some viewers. It is never my intention to create content that will upset, offend or alienate, but this is the only way I knew how to articulate my own personal journey and I hope you don’t mind me using my platform to do so.

0:48.5

updates and more and first of all unfortunately, I have some very sad news and I just wanted to share it with you because

0:55.8

Michelle Durrati, who was the founder of Alpha-H skincare and a friend of the podcast, a friend of mine,

1:05.8

very sadly passed away last week after a two-year battle with cancer.

1:09.2

Michelle and Tom, also from Alpha-H Tom, Michelle and Tom, they're a euro, the great euro, came on the podcast about four years ago.

1:17.6

And it was around that time that I felt a real bond with Michelle and we had a few conversations that will

1:25.2

really stay with me forever. We got to know each other in the green rooms and

1:29.8

dressing rooms at QVC but she was a real guide and a real mentor at a time when I really

1:36.0

needed it and I will always be grateful for the generosity and kindness she showed me.

1:41.9

She was such a real supporter and friend and someone I cared about very, very much.

1:47.0

And I'm so, so sad to hear of her passing. And my thoughts are with her family,

1:51.6

oh, the family that she just adored and her

1:55.1

Alpha H family. She really was one in a million and she will be missed and I

1:59.6

will certainly miss her and I know that many of you know who she is because you

bands of skincare and you know about Alpha H that you may have already you may have

2:09.6

heard her on this show so I just wanted to talk about that and just say what a loss it is to

2:17.6

to the beauty industry but also what a loss it is in life that Michelle is no

longer with us. And again sending so much love to her family and
