Summary

In today's episode, I join Paul Rakowicz, host of the Leveraging Your Voice podcast, for a thought-provoking conversation about mindset, personal growth, and the practical steps to achieving success. We explore the five essential practices for reaching your goals: knowing your what, your who, your how, your now, and applying your why. I share insights on aligning your daily actions with your desired outcomes, the importance of asking for help, and the power of gratitude and faith. Paul and I also discuss how emotional control and intentionality are key to building the life you want.

Let's talk. What I'd like you to do is teach us a little bit today on this episode.

0:04.9

And my goal, I have notes here because you're so important, I didn't want to miss anything.

0:10.0

And you talk a lot about how everything that happens, we have ways that we can either think of it that help us or we can think of it in ways that cause

0:22.2

us to break down. And all of those things are around this notion of we really as we can say

0:30.5

as business owners or professionals or even just as people, we always got to be engaged in growth

0:36.4

and mindset shifts. Like the example I just gave,

when somebody asked that question, where would you take them? What's the story you would tell

1:11.3

one that most people can't answer. And it's knowing what you want in a direction, a divine

1:20.4

direction of where you think you want to be according to the circumstances of today. And so what do you want personally today?

1:31.6

What do you want experientially today? What do you want giving wise, value, productivity wise

1:37.4

today? And the hardest of all, what do you want to receive? Because most people don't

1:43.1

fail worthy. They live in a zero-sum game.

1:45.9

They think if they receive that somebody else is going to be shorted. And so understanding each day first,

1:53.9

what is it that I want according to the circumstances of today allows us to make one important mindset shift that I give meaning

2:05.8

to everything that I see, meaning that everything I see today is based on the past. And if I'm not

2:12.0

aligning the failure, successes, mistakes, void, shortages, and obstacles of my past,
