Thanks for joining us at Cold Case Chrissianne. I am Jay Warner Wallace. I want to

ask a question in this episode that I answer in a book called Person of

Interest, Why Jesus Still Matters in a World that Rejects the Bible, that is

often asked of me at college campuses and at conferences, why did Jesus come when

he came? Why didn't he come earlier? But more importantly, why didn't he come

like later? Like, I think every generation that lives always wants some better

sign or piece of evidence that God exists, right? I mean, how many times have you

heard this said, well, why doesn't God appear to me personally? Why doesn't God

show up right now and write his name in the side of that mountain? Like every

generation wants a manifestation of God in their lifetime. So I think most of

the time when I get this question asked of me, it is why wouldn't if God's

going to show up? Why not wait now? Look at all the methods of mass communication

we have. Well, okay, I can certainly see why that would be an inclination or a

good question people would have. Especially again, most of us are rooted in our

own generation and we're going to ask that question like, why didn't he come now?

If you're in the 15th century, you're probably wondering why God doesn't come

in your generation. But here we are in the 21st century asking the same question.
