And she said to me, why do they keep talking about Margaret Thatcher? And in my customarily arrogant and dismissive way, I was about to gloss over it and

demand that we come up with better ideas for this morning's program. And I suddenly sort of stopped

and thought, yeah, why do they keep talking about Margaret Thatcher? And if you're, and I'm 50,

right? I was seven when Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister and I was 18 when she left and and oddly in the same year that she

left Downing Street I sat at politics an A-level in politics and I would struggle to tell

anybody younger than me why Margaret Thatcher's shadow has loomed so large over this entire conservative leadership election.

Now, you might not like this, but I don't want condemnations and castigations of the so-called Iron Lady in the first part of the program,
