So, Brian, you learned of an apparent treasure that was recently unearthed in the Oklahoma City

Thunder locker room. Tell me what transpired here.

Well, it wasn't the locker room, Pablo. It was actually the laundry room in their arena

in downtown Oklahoma City, which is where their longtime equipment manager

Wilson Taylor keeps like his deep storage facility, which is a fancy way of saying a bunch of

shoes and dusty boxes slapped on a rack. Brian Winhorst covers the NBA and hosts the Hoop

Collective podcast for ESPN.

Just before the start of the season, he was down there at night, at 7 o'clock at night,

and he was going through the racks, and he came across something he never thought he would

see again, but all of a sudden had a whole lot of value.

And that was these dusty boxes of Kobe Bryant signature shoes

that had been sitting there in the Thunder's possession for seven years. They belonged to Derek Fisher,

who last played for the team in 2013-14.

Wilson Taylor took out his phone and he took a picture, and he sent the picture to Josh Giddy.

They're a rookie, and as soon as Josh got the photo on his phone,

he immediately called Wilson and said,

can I come right now?

And he goes, sure.

So 15 minutes later, Josh is in the arena,

in the deep storage area,

looking at these five boxes of Derek Fisher,

Kobe Bryant shoes.
