So although Herschel Walker lost that Senate seat in Georgia,

two of the Black Republicans, John James and Wesley Hunt,

won their seats to the House, doubling the number of Black Republicans

in the lower chamber from two to four.

So why are we seeing more Black Republicans,

both amongst voters and politicians?

What's happening? What's going on there?

And how does this impact the future of the Republican Party?

David Dent, who is a professor of journalism and social and cultural analysis

at New York University.

He's the author of the book in search of Black America.
