What's up?

0:50.2

So you don't know this, but this has been a long time coming because I have been following you for, I don't even know how long. I think, when did you start your business? I started, well, one of them, I started 12 years ago. Saved in the city. So that's saved in the city, yep. 12 years ago. Yep. That's what, 2011? 2011. Okay, so yeah. So I had the Single Wives Club way back when, and it was during that time that I found your organization because there wasn't, at that time, there was nothing for relationship readiness.

1:20.0

And anytime you even Googled something, something religious came up because that was like the only resource.

1:24.7

Yeah.

1:25.1

I have been like internet stalking all of the things for what a decade. Wow, I had no idea. And we finally met in real life. And we're here in the same city. Have you been in Atlanta? I've been here two years. You were in. I was in Nashville. I was in Nashville. I'm from Nashville. Moved to Huntsville for school, A&M. And then two years ago during the pandemic, I moved here. Hold on, hold, hold, hold, hold. So you mean to tell me that you're from the city of Cacheville, Tenne County. Absolutely. And you did not carry your tail on over to Tennessee State University. Oh, we didn't. We didn't. I got slack from everybody in my family, but I grew up as a TSU Tiger. So that's all I knew. So I feel like I'm just... You need something new. Yeah, I just wanted to switch it up a little bit. I already go too far. As a proud alumni of the Tennessee State University, we definitely feel some time of way. I love y'all. And I'm rocking with TSU as long as we don't play y'all.

2:19.9

Because, you know, we used to have that one classic. But other than that, like, all day. That's all I knew growing up. When did you finish from school? 2008. Okay. So we were in college at the same time. We've probably did. Because you were, my best friend knows you, Chastity.

2:33.5

So we, I told her last night, I was like, I'm going to be on her show tomorrow.

2:36.8

She's like, we went to school together so we meet her went to high school together so you don't even want to go with your best friend you like girl I love y'all but I like I gotta switch it up I gotta do something different how did you enjoy your time of A&M I loved it I would not be doing what I'm doing if it wasn't I. I feel like if I would have left, would not have left Nashville. I would not have been in this position. So, yeah, so I loved it. I wasn't too far from home. I got to come back home. But yeah, A&M did it for me. So it was great. I have not talked to one HBCU grad that does not have that same feeling about this. I think you could have picked any HBCU and you still would have been like, girl. Like, it is nothing like XYZ University because they did it for me. Absolutely. That is just, so I'm a huge advocate for HBCU's obviously, but that's why. It's not just because I'm all black everything, even though I am very much so, all black everything. But that feeling, it's like an indescribable feeling. But if you went to HBCU, you know what that. You know what it means. It has such a dear place in our hearts. Like, I saw this morning one of my friends from college posted we were doing a reunion.

3:41.0

I was like, girl, why I didn't know about this? Like I just paid my dues and, you know, just wanted to be supported. But yeah, I love the love that HBCUs are getting now. Right. Because we know it hasn't always been that way. But I knew at a very early age I wanted to go to HBCU. For sure. And I did it. And I'm forever grateful for the experience.

4:00.1

So yeah.

4:01.1

Yeah. I think that it doesn't even matter what school you choose. For sure. And that's my philosophy like with my kids. I'm like I'm not going, because my husband went to fam and you know how to fan folks. Ooh. Look, you remember those classics in Atlanta Atlanta like we used to come down the classics from

4:15.8

tsu and fam you yes i'm like y'all sit down somewhere that's why me and my husband can literally like

4:22.0

we came to Atlanta around the same time and we met in 2017 but we have so many things in common

4:28.0

like so many places that we've been love that same time, but we did not know each.

4:32.5

Like, I'm like, I wish we could just like tap in and think about all the times or figure all the times we cross paths. I love that. But didn't know. At the right time, though, y'all came together. At the right time, girl, in the club, girl. God worked it out. And look what he did. Won't he do it? Won't he do it?
