Hey everybody we're back with another episode of the Catholic talk show today we're going to be talking about what's going on with all these statues coming down.

Yeah, we're going to look at the sources and the reasons behind this modern iconoclasm.

We're going to look at some of the historical precedents

behind cultures tearing down statues.

And we're going to try to make sense of it

so what a Catholic can think about what's going on right now. And a lot of this is senseless. So to try to

make sense of what we're experiencing as a people will be helpful in relationship

to settling our hearts before God and trying to find a path forward to greater

unity and solidarity. And All right, good to be back with you guys.

Definitely a topic, I think, that's on everybody's mind at least in my family and my friends

Co-workers things like that and you know like you were saying Father Rich just like working through this like I think

it's a good thing to kind of hash through you know and look at without you know the

hyper sensitive media and things like that drawing all the worst out and just

shove it in your face every day it's a good thing to kind of just step back and

take a look at what's going on and start uncovering certain things for ourselves and our peace.

Because we can be constructive in these times and it really calls on men and women of goodwill that are seeking justice and equity to find constructive

ways that we can actually build some type of solidarity moving forward.

And I completely agree with you, Sheila, so many of my conversations with family members,

as well as people related to the show.
