Hi, I'm Dave. I want to talk about a short walk, why a short walk should be part of your morning routine.

I don't know when you're listening to this, what time of day it is as you're

walking, as I'm walking, it is morning, the sun is up. It is a cold winter morning. Temperature

actually below normal for this time of year here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I'm layered

up. It is a little bit breezy,

which is why I'm going to be walking as I record in the wooded trail along the wooded trail

because I've got tree buffers on each side, which protect me from the wind, and it softens the

wind noise as you listen, but probably even more importantly, it lowers the windshield,

which keeps me a little more comfortable.

But I want to talk about why a short walk should be part of your morning routine,

even if you are not walking right now in the morning.

If your typical time of day to walk is later, maybe midday,

afternoon, evening, I want to try and convince you why a short walk should be part of your

morning routine. Five reasons. Number one, walking boosts energy. And you probably have experienced this regardless of what time of day you walk.

And maybe if you're walking in the afternoon, that's one of the reasons why you take an afternoon

walk because you feel that slump and you know that a walk will boost your energy.

Well, in the morning to get your day started,

First thing I do every morning is take a 10-minute walk
