your background before we launch into all the details on lectins. So I, for many years, was

professor and chairman of cardiothoracic surgery and pediatrics at Loma Linda University in Southern

And about 17 years ago, a gentleman who I call Big Ed changed my life because he reversed

most of the blockages in his coronary arteries, which were severe with a diet and taking a bunch

of supplements from a health food store. And I thought that was pretty impressive since I had

an undergraduate special major at Yale in human evolutionary biology. And what he did made a whole

lot of sense to me, and it made a whole lot of sense to me because I was a big fat guy, eating a healthy Adventist vegetarian diet and running 30 miles a week and going to the gym one hour a day.

So I put myself on the diet I described for my undergraduate thesis, and I lost 50 pounds my first year and

another 20 pounds subsequently and I've kept it off for 17 years but I started treating
