0:00.0	Hey everyone, I'm Dr. Allison. Today's scripture offers us a wiser way of being human as we step into the day.
0:12.0	This week is known as Holy Week. It's the sacred stretch of days leading up to Easter. It's a week that slows us down, invites us to pay attention, and walks us through the final days of Jesus' life.
0:23.3	For centuries, Christians across traditions, both Catholic and Protestant, have followed a rhythm of scripture readings during this week.
0:29.7	These readings are carefully chosen to help us enter into the story, not just intellectually, but emotionally and spiritually and also in an embodied way.
0:38.4	So this week I want to walk with you through a handful of scriptures that trace this journey,
0:43.0	from safety to rupture, to surrender, and ultimately to love.
0:48.6	Today we begin with a question that meets us right where we are.
0:53.1	Where do we ultimately find safety? Today's scripture is from
0:57.7	Psalm 27, 1 through 8. The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the
1:05.8	stronghold of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies
1:13.4	and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear.
1:19.3	Though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. One thing I ask from the Lord,
1:26.0	this only do I seek, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.
1:35.9	For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling. He will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.
1:45.7	Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me.
1:49.7	At his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy.
1:53.0	I will sing and make music to the Lord.
1:55.6	Hear my voice when I call, Lord.
