Welcome back my friends, it is time for you and I to get our minds aligned with the truth

of God.

That is our goal today, and we are going to do that by diving in once again to 1st Peter

chapter 2, and I'm going to read kind of an extended passage here because it all flows

together in the concepts that Peter's talking about in our last episode of the morning mindset.

Peter mentioned that you and I are like living stones being built up into a spiritual house.

And that concept of house brings us to verse 6 where he starts describing how we are built

up into that house, along with Jesus Christ who is called the cornerstone.

Let's read it.

It says, for it stands in scripture, and now he's quoting scripture, behold, I'm laying

in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to

shame.

Now here's Peter commenting on that.

He says, so the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, he's going

to quote scripture again, the stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,

and a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.

Now Peter continues to comment, they stumble because they disobey the word as they were

destined to do.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession

that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his

marvelous light.

Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people.
